About this collection

This is a growing collection of travel and tourism literature, early books about western North Carolina, and small promotional booklets advertising key monuments associated with western North Carolina. The books, booklets, pamphlets, and ephemera cover many of western North Carolina's most scenic points of interest and often includes unique material related to people, politics, social services, tourism, environmentalism, architecture, and more. The selected items in this collection cover the late 1890's to the mid-1980's.
